Midwinter dreams

me
I had a really off dream while I was sleeping on the couch last night...

Dreamed a giant wolf was taking to me, and then forced me to confront a bunch of people I really love/hate.

I woke up feeling really odd about this, since these people were not people I have thought about a lot in a very long time. But I do at least feel better about a lot of old wounds I though were long since healed.

He has been trapped in the virtual world called Everquest. It is his new home. I locked him away in it so that he wouldn't have to think about the real world anymore.

Reik, Theodor, Pagan Rites in Judaism: From Sex Initiation, Magic, Mooncult, Tattooing, Mutilation, and other Primitive Rituals to Family Loyalty and Solidarity (NY: Grammercy Pub. Co., 1964)

The Ohio State University Library has a copy.

Looking at your LJ (this 2nd time ever I swear) I noticed your musing about a project concerning our Jewish pagan heritage. Thus, the book suggestion as a starting point.

I don't mind if you read my LJ. You can read it all you want, I will even allow you to comment in it.

The real thought behind my idea is that I am trying to determine what factor caused the transition from polytheism/pantheonism to monotheism. I don't understand and I don't understand the concept of monotheism. I am a devout wiccan and have never in my life believed in a monotheistic religion. I want to look at the pre-judaic cultures that were polytheistic and look at the monotheistic religions and try to find that point where the change occured and why.
