After reading a bunch of historical muder mysteries (Byzantine and Egyptian era)...

Never trust a eunuch.

Pretty much. Noticing that outside of Cry to Heaven by Anne rice, Eunuchs get the role of villian cast on them a lot. And even in that book, the castrati main character wasn't very nice. Then again, I think I'd be rather irate if someone chopped off my maleness.

What did you read in the historical murder mysteries, that brought you to the conclusion that eunuch's aren't to be trusted?

Well, in the Byzantine novel, the emporer's Eunuch was the one plotting with the Franks to take over Constantinople. But he was also plotting against the Franks, since they're the ones who cut off his junk.

In the egyptian novel, the eunuch was running around killing people on behalf of one of the other tribes.

Therefore, if a eunuch shows up in a murder mystery, they shouldn't be trusted;)

Now that you pointed these details out....it makes perfect sense!

Problem is...how can you tell if one is confronted by a eunuch, if they are fully clothed!?

Well, I suppose it would depend on when they were cut. From what I read about the castrati, they generaly were fairly androgynous, and could pass as women without much chest. Past that, not really sure.
