Ah, I love seeing summer fare

John and I are seeing the Transformers preview this evening.

Should be quite craptacular.

I wonder if Optimus will still sound like John Wayne. And I wonder if Megatron with still be a gun.

Hell, I wonder if the effects will make up for the lack of script.

And how did a July 4 opening not include Will Smith?

And totally unrelated, how many freaking Cancers do I have on my Flist? I seem to have written out a lot of birthday posts....

*LOL* I just fielded a phone call from my Cousin Mary, who was excitedly telling me about the Transformer movie. *grin* We grew upon the stuff, and she can still remember their theme song.

Thusly dear spontaneous Mary leapt up to the ticket window, spread her arms wide and began singing the theme song. Said ticket taker blinked a few times and asked "Excuse me?" "DUDE! It's the Transformer theme song. Don't tell me...you've *never* seen the cartoon."

"I take it this means you want a ticket for that movie?" "WELL DUH!"

Apparently it's quite good, as she was clearly nearly bouncing out of her car with glee. When she hung up, *lol* the gal was still singing the theme song!

We weren't quite THAT bad about it. Although I will say seeing it with an audience filled with geeks like us ranks up there with seeing any of the Star wars movies... A theatre filled with cheering, clapping, and love.

Like I said, I felt like a 10 year old seeing the original animated movie again.

The whole point is to have fun and play...which is something Ishte will tell you I'm really lacking in. Maybe if I observe how you play, I'll remember how it's done!

Then again when I was a kid I couldn't behave like a kid, had to grow up pretty fast in order to survive. HEY now I can be a kid!
