Well, I originally found the article linked to another article about how we human are ignoring evidence of bad things because our leades don't beliveve.

I was tossed out of class during a similiar experiment in high school sociology. Then, in college, I was the only student in a class of 24 to resist a brainwashing experiment.

Then...while in graduate school to get my doctorate, I confounded a professor with my refusal to go along with experiements that I recognized from the giddy-up.

But my favorite professor pointed out something...I am, in every way imaginable, cut off from reality and social connectivity.

SO, the only way out of pack thought is to be fucking nuts.

I wonder if it's ever occurred to those so called experts, that pack mentality/thought is actually the mind set that's unbalanced? It means those people don't have an original thought, their IQ is probably way skewed and morals go right out the window! Especially since they can't think for themselves!

On the other hand I prefer to think for myself, and make my own decisions after examining all the facts.

My problem is attempting to examine the facts when at any moment I slip out of the main reality and into my own. It's shiny there, and I can crush people with my mind.

But that's not so helpful when I find myself having a cognizant moment in your reality.

Yes but who's to say *which* reality is truly "real"? We all have what we say is reality, but as to whether it is a cognizant reality for everyone around us....eh...

It is how each of us perceives/experiences it. Say...I see a tree surrounded by air spirits....you may see the bark and how it breathes. However when you put it all together...tree.

By the way, avahgdu, I dig the picture you have next to your name.

And, yeah, any deviation from the norm (if norm is pack mentality) is nutty, since you'd be in the vast minority. Kind of makes me wonder what is possessing me to work for a bossman and make lots of money which will go mostly to the company I work for, the government, the gas tank, or any number of useless shit that society tells me I should have. But, then, if everyone said, fuck you guys, I don't need an ipod, I'm going to be a beach bum, society might not run as smoothly as the powers that be would like, would it?

Pretty much. Chances are, unless I was tryuing to psyche out the test, I'd be inclined to do bad things.

holy crap

thank you!

There are some better links off the article that kind of help tke the bad taste away.

Yeah, I can't imagine being able to do ANY of that stuff.

I cqan. but then I'm weak and evil.

Kind of like a train wreck, but a cool train wreck (if such a creature existed). I kind of liked the "5 Mental Illnesses that will Totally Get you Laid" a little better -- it was more tongue-in-cheek.

Yeah, humanity is completely fucked, but that isn't anything new. What gets me isn't so much the things people do or don't do just because they don't give a shit, but the things that they do because they receive some psychosexual thrill from doing it. Like people who purposefully try to ruin another person's life just for kicks, or people who go out and molest and kill a kid just to get their rocks off.

Sick, sick, sick.

On the bright side, karma occasionally does work for the best.
