dancing cat
Bigfoot, the Yeti, the Loch Ness Monster, el chupacabra—what is your favorite creature that may or may not exist?

Snarky Answer- Flying Spaghetti Monster

Real Answer- The Demon Cat of Washington DC. There was a book on Cryptozoology I read way back as a child that told the tale of a black cat that roams the tunnels under DC. According to eyewitness reports, the damn things grows to panther size while running towards you, then leaps... only to vanish. Which sounds much cooler than giant snapping turtles in Vermont.

Among other things, my trips to DC have been as a tourist. They generally don't let tourists into the underground tunnels;)

I'll have to ask Wolfrider...he lives up in St. Albans VT. Never has said anything about giant snapping turtles. He DID come face to face with Champie one day. That was an interesting phone call I got. Very difficult to calm down a Druid that is doing a freak out and trying to tell you what happened at the same time. His wife said the man was ashen and shaking.

Wish I could find that book now. I used to order all the Preternatural/sci-fi/horror stuff Scholastic had to offer back in the day.
